Did you know you can buy into using solar power if you belong to the Boone Electric Cooperative? Meet at City Hall at 10:40 to get in the caravan to Boone Electric. The 100-kilowatt solar farm, made up of 400 320-watt panels, is now fully energized and is expected to generate an average of 41 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per panel each month (based on annual anticipated output). Get a tour of the solar farm, and an explanation of how it all works and how you can participate. If buying solar panels for your home is out of your price range, you can still help bring on the renewable revolution by putting your money into something you believe in!
